Crab Cakes with Cilantro and Lime

Delicious crab cakes infused with fresh cilantro and zesty lime, perfect for a light meal or appetizer.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb fresh crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime zest
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the crab cakes for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve warm with a side of lime wedges and additional cilantro for garnish.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
