For the Crust:
- 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place chicken thighs in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing to coat evenly.
- Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
