For the Crust:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and sesame oil.
  2. Place chicken wings in the crock pot and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until wings are tender.
  4. If desired, remove wings and thicken the sauce by mixing cornstarch with a little water, then stirring into the crock pot. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
