For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle. Brush lightly with olive oil.
- Sprinkle blue cheese, walnuts, and thyme evenly over the pastry. Season with salt and pepper.
- Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the pastry into a log. Slice into 1-inch thick rounds.
- Arrange the rounds on the baking sheet, slightly overlapping. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Serve warm.
