For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle garlic, Parmesan, parsley, and thyme evenly.
- Roll dough tightly into a log, slice into 8 pieces, and place each in a greased muffin tin.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
