For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle garlic, Parmesan, parsley, and thyme evenly.
  5. Roll dough tightly into a log, slice into 8 pieces, and place each in a greased muffin tin.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
