For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp orange zest
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberry sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, and orange zest. Stir until smooth and heated through.
- Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to a serving dish and pour the cranberry orange sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional orange zest if desired.
