For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberry sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, and orange zest. Stir until smooth and heated through.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to a serving dish and pour the cranberry orange sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with additional orange zest if desired.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
