Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Layers of strawberry, cream cheese, and buttered cake for a deliciously simple, crowd-pleasing dessert.

  • 595 grams strawberry pie filling
  • 430 grams yellow cake mix
  • 225 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 100 grams granulated sugar
  • 2.5 millilitres vanilla extract
  • 115 grams unsalted butter, melted
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C and lightly grease a 23 x 33 cm baking dish.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the base of the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract, beating until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Distribute spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture across the surface of the strawberry layer and gently spread without disturbing the base.
  5. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over both the cream cheese and strawberry layers. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix, ensuring most of the surface is covered.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is lightly golden and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

Ensure butter is well distributed over the cake mix for even browning and texture.
