For the Crust:

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Fold in pecans.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
