Avocado Jalapeño Creamy Dip

Rich avocado and jalapeño blend with cheeses, lime, and cilantro for a creamy, zesty party dip.

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1 large jalapeño, roughly chopped
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • 450 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 240 milliliters sour cream or Mexican crema
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon or salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro
  • Tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Peel and pit the avocados. Roughly chop the jalapeño, leaving seeds in for additional heat if desired. Juice the limes and set aside.
  2. Place the cream cheese, avocados, jalapeño, sour cream or Mexican crema, lime juice, chicken bouillon or salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh cilantro in a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend the mixture for 15 to 30 seconds, or until it achieves a creamy, smooth consistency. Scrape down the bowl as necessary to ensure thorough incorporation.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Serve at once with tortilla chips or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Notes

For a spicier profile, retain the seeds in the jalapeño or add an additional pepper.
