Delicious baked apple fritters with a hint of cinnamon and a soft, cake-like texture.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Stir in diced apples until coated with the flour mixture.
  4. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
