Brown Sugar Frosting

A simple frosting with caramel undertones, perfect for fall cakes and quick desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar and milk, stirring until dissolved.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Spread over cooled cake.
