Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars | Easy Dessert Treats

These easy homemade Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars feature a buttery crust, gooey caramel, melted chocolate, and optional nuts. Perfect for dessert trays, bake sales, or everyday indulgence.

  • 2 cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 1 cupunsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cupcaramel sauce
  • 1 cupchocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cupchopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cupchocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. Remove from oven and pour caramel sauce over the hot crust.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chunks and chopped nuts (if using) over the caramel layer.
  7. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until caramel is bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let them melt and spread if desired.
  9. Allow bars to cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Use gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option.
Substitute chopped nuts with seeds for a nut-free version.
Chill in the fridge to speed up cooling.
Add a pinch of sea salt on top for a salted caramel twist.
