Caramelized Pear Burrata Bites with Pomegranate Nut Crunch

These Caramelized Pear Burrata Bites with Pomegranate Nut Crunch are the perfect appetizer for fall! They require just 30 minutes and the flavor combo is incredible. Half Baked Harvest recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 small pears, thinly sliced (about 1/4 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup arils from 1 fresh pomegranate
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
  • honey or maple syrup, for drizzling
  • fresh leaves for basil or mint, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pears and honey. Cook 5 minutes, then add 1 tablespoon balsamic. Cook until the pears begin to caramelize, about 5-10 minutes more. Stir frequently.
  2. Serve the burrata bites topped with the warm caramelized pears, pomegranate arils, and nut crunch. Drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh basil.
  3. Pomegranate Nut Crunch: In a bowl, mix chopped toasted pecans and pistachios. (Note: If using store-bought granola, combine with pecans and pistachios.)

Notes

These are best served right away while the pears are warm. The pomegranate nut crunch can be made ahead and stored in a jar for up to 1 week.
