Cheesy Baked Chicken Burritos with Creamy Green Chile Sauce 🌶️

These cheesy baked chicken burritos are wrapped in flour tortillas, filled with tender chicken, melty cheese, and topped with a creamy green chile sauce for a delicious and comforting meal.

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • Creamy Green Chile Sauce:
  • 1 can (15 oz) green chiles, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Burrito Assembly:
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, tomatoes, green onions, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon filling into each tortilla, roll tightly, and place seam-side down in a baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  6. Sauce Preparation:
  7. In a separate bowl, combine green chiles, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  8. Serve sauce drizzled over baked burritos.

Notes

For extra spice, add chopped jalapeños to the filling. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
