For the Crust:
1 lb ground beef
4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened. Add ground beef, cook until browned; drain excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
In a bowl, mix condensed soup and milk until smooth. Layer half the potato slices in the baking dish, top with half the beef mixture, half the soup mixture, and half the cheese. Repeat layers.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil, bake another 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is bubbly and golden.
