Creamy Cheesy Ranch Potatoes with Smoked Sausage

A comforting casserole featuring tender potatoes, smoked sausage, and a creamy ranch cheese sauce that bakes to perfection. This hearty dish is ideal for family dinners or potlucks.

  • 2 lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil potatoes in salted water for 10-15 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix sour cream, ranch dressing, milk, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add drained potatoes and smoked sausage slices. Toss to coat.
  5. Stir in half the shredded cheese.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

Notes

This recipe can be prepared ahead and baked later. Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
