Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bread

Tender loaf with cinnamon sugar swirls. Ideal for cozy mornings or afternoon indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 375 grams all-purpose flour
  • 12 grams baking powder
  • 5 grams salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 113 grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 240 milliliters whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a 23×13 cm loaf pan with unsalted butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat softened butter and 200 grams sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in milk and vanilla extract until homogenous.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. In a small bowl, mix 100 grams sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Sprinkle half over batter.
  7. Add remaining batter to the pan. Top with remaining cinnamon sugar. Gently swirl through the loaf with a knife to marble the layers.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges clean.
  9. Allow bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter; gentle folding maintains a light crumb.
