Delicious Cinnamon Sugar Swirl Muffins Recipe

  • 1 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cupgranulated sugar
  • 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  • 2 teaspoonsbaking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 cupunsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • 1large egg
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  • 1/4 cupcinnamon sugar (for topping)
  • For Frosting:
  • 1/2 cupunsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cupspowdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  • 23tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespooncinnamon sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures, stirring gently until just mixed.
  5. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes clean.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Mix just until combined to avoid dense muffins.
