  • ½ tsponion powder
  • 1 tsporegano
  • Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes (optional)
  • cupsshredded low-moisture mozzarella
  • ¼ cupgrated parmesan (optional)
  • Pepperoni slices (optional)
  • Olive oil (for brushing crust)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy (5–10 minutes).
  2. Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead by hand or with a stand mixer for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. In a saucepan, mix tomato puree, tomato paste, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and optional seasonings. Simmer for 25–30 minutes. Let cool.
  5. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough into an 18-inch circle.
  6. Transfer dough to parchment paper or a peel. Spread sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
  7. Add mozzarella and parmesan. Top with pepperoni if desired. Brush crust edges with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 12–14 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling. Optionally broil for 1–2 minutes for extra browning.
  9. Let the pizza cool for 3–5 minutes before slicing into 8 servings.
