Cranberry Goat Cheese Sourdough

Tangy goat cheese, cranberries, nuts, and honey layered in golden sourdough—the perfect shareable bake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round sourdough loaf
  • 113 grams goat cheese, softened
  • 60 milliliters dried cranberries
  • 30 milliliters chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 30 milliliters butter, melted
  • 5 milliliters fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Honey, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  2. Cut the sourdough loaf into 2.5 cm thick slices, taking care not to slice entirely through and maintaining the base intact for a pull-apart structure.
  3. Spread softened goat cheese between each slice. Tuck dried cranberries and chopped nuts evenly throughout the loaf segments.
  4. Drizzle melted butter across the top of the loaf and scatter fresh thyme leaves if desired.
  5. Wrap the prepared loaf in foil and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the bread is warmed thoroughly.
  6. Drizzle with honey before serving and present warm for optimal flavor.

Notes

For the best texture, use day-old sourdough and serve immediately after baking.
