  • ¼ cupmayonnaise
  • 1chipotle pepper from a can of chipotles in adobo
  • 1garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 teaspoonfresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoonextra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoonhoney or maple syrup
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, chipotle pepper, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, and honey or maple syrup.
  2. Add a generous pinch of salt and a few cracks of black pepper.
  3. Blend until the sauce is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more salt, lime, or honey to balance the flavor.
  5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Use two chipotle peppers for extra heat.
For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and vegan mayo.
Smoked paprika can be used as a chipotle pepper substitute for a milder version.
Let the sauce sit for a few hours for deeper flavor development.
