For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup custard (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into star shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place half the stars on the baking sheet, spoon a small amount of custard onto each, leaving a border.
- Brush the edges with egg wash, then place the remaining stars on top, pressing the edges to seal.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
