Irresistible Easy Apple Fritter Bites Recipe

These bite-sized apple fritters are crispy on the outside, tender inside, and bursting with cinnamon-spiced apple flavor. Perfect for a quick snack or dessert!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. For glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Dip warm fritters in glaze and let set.

Notes

Serve warm for best results. Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes.
