For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup blueberry jam

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto baking sheets. Make a small well in each cookie and fill with a teaspoon of cream cheese mixture and a dollop of blueberry jam. Swirl gently with a toothpick.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire racks before serving.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
