Caramel Apple Cheesecake Dip

Take the cream cheese from the fridge and set at room temperature for 15 minutes. In the meantime, stir together sour cream and brown sugar. Combine with cream cheese and a pinch of salt, spread in a serving dish, top with caramel and pecans. Serve with apples or pretzels for an easy fall dessert.

  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 ounces whipped cream cheese
  • 3/4 c. caramel dip, I used Litehouse brand, original
  • 1/4 c. chopped pecans, optional

Instructions

  1. Take the cream cheese from the fridge and set at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  2. Stir together sour cream and brown sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl combine brown sugar mixture, cream cheese, and pinch of salt. Mix until well combined. Spread into a 6 x 9 serving dish or similar size.
  4. If needed, slightly heat caramel so it is pourable.
  5. Carefully spread caramel over top of cream cheese layer.
  6. Top with pecans.
  7. Serve with sliced apples and pretzels.
  8. Store covered in refrigerator.
