  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt for the dough.
  3. In another large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients to form a dough.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick on a floured surface.
  6. For the filling, brush the dough with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into ½-inch slices.
  8. Place slices on prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
