  • 65 g granulated sugar
  • 60 ml whole milk
  • 60 ml buttermilk
  • 38 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 22 ml distilled white vinegar
  • 3 g fine sea salt

  • 800 g finely chopped green cabbage
  • 30 g shredded carrot
  • 20 g minced white onion

Instructions

  1. Finely chop cabbage and carrots to a uniform, rice-sized consistency for an authentic texture. Mince the white onion.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, vigorously whisk mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth and fully emulsified.
  3. Add chopped cabbage, shredded carrot, and minced onion to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until the vegetables are evenly coated with dressing.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours to allow flavors to blend. For optimal taste and texture, let rest overnight.
