Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Onion Rings

Crunchy onion rings filled with beef, bacon, and cheese, served hot with creamy ranch on the side.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 100 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, sliced into rings
  • 125 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 2.5 g garlic powder
  • 2.5 g onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 240 ml ranch dressing, for serving
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 175°C.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Fill each onion ring with a portion of the seasoned beef mixture, pressing lightly to compact.
  4. Arrange three bowls for breading: the first with flour, the second with beaten eggs, and the third with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Dip each stuffed onion ring in flour, then in eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
  6. Carefully lower coated onion rings into hot oil. Fry for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Transfer fried onion rings onto a plate lined with paper towels. Immediately top with crumbled bacon and additional cheddar cheese.
  8. Serve hot with ranch dressing alongside for dipping.

Notes

Press beef firmly inside onion rings to prevent filling from falling out during frying.
For enhanced flavor and texture, use panko breadcrumbs.
