Maryland Style Crab Cakes

Classic Maryland crab cakes made with lump crab meat, minimal filler, and Old Bay seasoning for authentic flavor.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, gently combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and parsley.
  2. Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook crab cakes for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.
