Pumpkin Pecan Honey Bun Cake

For the Crust:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix pecans, honey, and melted butter. Spoon over cake batter and swirl lightly with a knife.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
