Salted Caramel Chocolate Chunk Muffins

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chunks.
  5. Spoon batter into muffin liners, filling each halfway. Add a teaspoon of salted caramel sauce to each, then top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
