  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Add thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  7. Cut puff pastry into circles or squares large enough to fit over ramekins.
