She-Crab Creamy Soup

  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups seafood stock
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
  2. Add turkey bacon and diced chicken ham to the pot. Cook the mixture until both proteins are lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour in the seafood stock and bring to a gentle simmer, allowing flavors to meld.
  4. Gently fold in the cooked crab meat. Season with Old Bay, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Simmer lightly for a few minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Allow the soup to heat through without boiling; serve immediately.

For best results, use freshly cooked crab meat and high-quality seafood stock to enhance depth of flavour.
