For the Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 large marshmallows, halved
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls and flatten slightly. Place a marshmallow half in the center of each and wrap dough around it.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
